Peanut Patties 
Ingredients 
3 1/2 cups sugar2/3 cup  white Karo syrup1 cup evaporated milk2-1/2
cup raw , shelled peanuts4 tbs. margarine1 c. powdered sugarfew drops
red food coloring 
Preparation 
Combine sugar, Karo syrup, milk and peanuts in a heavy pan. Cook slowly
until a small amount  forms a soft ball when dropped into  cool
water (approximately  45 minutes).  Add margarine & powdered
sugar.  Mix well.  Drop by tablespoon on waxed paper.  If a large
patty is desired, pour into buttered foil pie pan. Use a few drops of
red food coloring to desired color.
