Pam Tillis to Release New CD in April Tue. January 30.2007 6:01 PM EST Pam Tillis will release a new album, Rhinestoned, on April 17 on her own Stellar Cat label. After struggling to find a direction for her first independent album, Tillis asked producer Gary Nicholson for advice. He ended up co-producing the album with Tillis and Matt Spicher. "It needed to be more country," she says. "I played what we had for Gary, brought him into the picture, and suddenly it felt like we weren't wandering in the woods anymore." Tillis' hits include "Maybe It Was Memphis," "Mi Vida Loca" and "All the Good Ones Are Gone."
Clint Black, Tracy Lawrence Offer New CDs Tue. January 30.2007 6:01 PM EST Clint Black and Tracy Lawrence are among the country artists to release new albums on Tuesday (Jan. 30). Black's The Love Songs (Equity) offers remakes of hit ballads like "When I Said I Do," as well as a cover of Jim Croce's "I'll Have to Say I Love You in a Song." Lawrence's For the Love (Rocky Comfort) includes two versions of "Find Out Who Your Friends Are." The bonus version includes vocals by Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw. Other new releases include Norah Jones' Not Too Late (Blue Note), Ted Russell Kamp's Divisadero (Pomo), Bill Kirchen's Hammer of the Honky-Tonk Gods (Proper), the Kenny & Amanda Smith Band's Tell Someone (Rebel), Totally Country Vol. 6 (Sony BMG) and The Very Best of Travis Tritt (Rhino). In addition, Endless Highway: The Music of The Band (Savoy Jazz) includes covers by Rosanne Cash, Bruce Hornsby, Josh Turner and Lee Ann Womack. Reba McEntire's Sitcom to Conclude Feb. 18 Tue. January 30.2007 6:01 PM EST The final two episodes of Reba McEntire's sitcom, Reba, will air back-to-back on Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. ET/PT. The show, now in its sixth season, moved to the CW network last year and is the network's most-watched comedy. The final episodes are titled "The Housewarming" and "The Kids Are Alright." McEntire's co-stars on the series include Christopher Rich, Melissa Peterman, Scarlett Pomers, Mitch Holleman, JoAnna Garcia and Steve Howey.
