Chocolate Better Than ??? Cake

1 18.25-oz. plain Devil's Food Cake mix
1 c. semisweet chocolate chips
3/4 c. chopped pecans
1 pkg. 3.9-oz. chocolate instant pudding mix
1 c. sour cream
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1/4 c. water
4 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
Chocolate Pan Frosting

        Preheat oven to dg350. Grease and flour 10-inch tube pan.

        Mix 2 tablespoons cake mix, chocolate chips and pecans in small bowl.
Set aside.

        Mix remaining cake mix, pudding mix, sour cream, oil, water, eggs and
vanilla in large mixing bowl with mixer at low speed for one minute.
Increase speed to medium and beat 2-3 minutes more. Fold in chocolate
chip and pecan mixture. Pour batter into prepared pan.

        Bake cake 50-55 minutes until springs back when lightly touched and
it starts to pull away from sides of pan. Remove from pan and cool on
wire rack 15 minutes. Invert onto cooling rack and again onto platter
to finish cooling. Prepare frosting and frost cooled cake. Let frosted
cake stand 30 minutes before slicing.
