Hot 'n Spicy Stew
(crockpot)

3 lb. beef stew meat, cut into 1-inch cubes
4 carrots, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
2 medium potatoes, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
1 large onion, chopped
1 (6 oz.) can small pitted ripe olives, undrained
1 (16 oz.) jar mild salsa
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. ground cumin
1 T. cornstarch
1/4 C. water

Combine all ingredients except cornstarch and water, in crockpot; stir 
well to blend. Cover and cook on low 7-9 hours or high for 3-4 hours, 
until meat and vegetables are tender. 
   Increase heat to high; combine cornstarch and water. Stir slowly into 
stew mixture until thickened. Reduce heat to low for serving. Makes 6 
servings.
