Mississippi Old Fashioned Pecan Pralines 2 1/2 pounds white sugar 1 cup brown sugar 1 small can evaporated milk, diluted with 1 pint water 1/4 cup butter 1 tsp vanilla 3 cups pecans
Have wax paper ready to drop candy on. Mix white sugar, brown sugar, milk and butter. Stir over low heat until sugar dissolves. Increase heat and cook rapidly, without stirring, to soft ball stage (240°). Remove from heat; add butter, vanilla and pecans. Beat until creamy. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto wax paper, working quickly.
