Oh, Marilyn, we all are praying re this situation! People can live with one
kidney, and not sure why he did not remove the entire right kidney with the
malignant tumors on it. unless he figured the surgery would have been too
radical for your husband to endure all at one time, and he will do the rest in
the followup surgery; he needs to have better lines of communication with you
and your husband.

  Subject: [RecipesAndMore] O-T-My Husband

  Hi everyone:

I just want to let everyone know that my husband, Frank had his surgery
yesterday. He will have to have his right kidney surgically removed, as it is
not functioning. They took half of a malignant tumor off the right kidney that
was pushing on his bladder. I don't know why they didn't remove the entire
kidney.

He'll come home today with a catheter and then will have to see if his left
kidney can function on its own. However, he also has cysts on the left kidney
but this surgeon didn't say much about those. I'm not sure how much I like
this surgeon.

Thank all of you for all the prayers. I'll keep you posted if you want me to.

  Thanks for being my friends.

  Marilyn
