Banana Fizz Favorite

 

Source: old magazine clipping

1 (4-serving) box gelatin, any flavor, regular or sugar-free

3/4 c boiling water

1/2 c cold water

Ice cubes

1 banana, sliced

Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Combine cold water & ice cubes to make 1 1/4 
c; add to gelatin, stirring until slightly thickened; remove unmelted ice.

Place banana slices in dessert glasses. Measure 1 1/3 c gelatin & spoon over 
banana slices. Whip remaining gelatin with electric mixer until fluffy, thick

& about doubled in volume. Pour over clear gelatin in glasses. Chill until 
firm, about 1 hr.
