Dessert Bars Supreme
Source: old magazine clipping Base: 1 box yellow cake mix 1 1/2 c quick-cooking rolled oats 1 c chopped nuts 1/2 c butter, softened a egg Filling: 1 tub 'ready to spread type' lemon frosting 8 oz pkg cream cheese, softened 2 eggs Heat oven to 350°F. Grease 13"x9" pan. In lg bowl, combine base ingredients; mix until crumbly. Reserve 2 c for topping; press remaining crumbs into prepared pan. In lg bowl, blend all filling ingredients; beat at highest speed until smooth & creamy. Pour over crust. Sprinkle reserved crumbs over filling. Bake 45-55 min or until firm when pan is lightly shaken. Chill before serving. Store in refrigerator. 12 servings Enjoy, Lil "The happiest people don't have the best of everything.
