Chewy Chocolate Chippers
1 c. butter or margarine
1-1/2 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
2-1/4 c. flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 c. M&M Plain chocolate candies, plus extra for decorating
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preheat oven to dg350. Beat together butter and brown sugar until
light and fluffy. Blend in egg and vanilla extract. Set aside.
Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Gradually add to butter mixture.
Mix well. Stir in candies and nuts. Drop dough by heaping tablespoons
about 3 inches apart onto a greased cookie sheet. Press 2 or 3
additional candies in cookies if desired. Bake 9-11 minutes or until
lightly browned. Cool on cookie sheets about 3 minutes then remove
cookies to wire racks to cool completely.
Makes about 2 dozen cookies.
