Choc-Oat Chip Cookies
1 c. butter or margarine, softened (2 sticks)
1-1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tbsp milk
2 tsp vanilla
1-3/4 c. flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt, optional
2-1/2 c. oats
1 12-oz. pkg. Nestle semisweet chocolate morsels
1 c. chopped nuts, optional
Preheat oven to dg375.
Beat margarine and sugars until creamy. Add eggs, milk and vanilla.
Beat well. Add flour, baking soda and salt. Mix well. Stir in oats,
chocolate morsels and nuts. Mix well.
Drop by rounded measuring tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake 9-10 minutes for a chewy cookie or 12-13 minutes for a crisp
cookie. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheets. Remove to wire rack. Cool
completely.
Makes about 5 dozen cookies.
