Chocolate Walnut Crunchies

1 pkg. devils food or chocolate cake mix for 2 layer cake
3/4 c. butter or margarine (1-1/2 sticks) softened
2 large eggs
1 12-oz. pkg. semisweet chocolate chunks
1 8-oz. can walnuts, coarsely chopped
1 c. flaked or shredded coconut
1/2 c. oats

        Preheat oven to dg350.

        In large bowl, with mixer at low speed, beat about half of cake mix
with margarine or butter and eggs until blended. Increase speed to
high. Beat until smooth occasionally scraping bowl with rubber
spatula.

        With spoon, stir in chocolate chunks, walnuts, coconut, oats and
remaining cake mix until blended.

        Spoon dough by rounded tablespoons, about 1-1/2 inches apart onto
ungreased, large cookie sheets. Bake 15 minutes or until cookies are
set. Remove cookies to wire rack to cool.

        Yield 4-1/2 dozen cookies 135 calories each.
