Fresh Tomato Pie

1 deep dish frozen pie crust, cooked according to package directions (9")
6 large tomatoes
1 t. salt
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup mayonnaise
1 bunch green onions, sliced
1/2 cup sliced fresh basil
Additional fresh basil for garnish if desired

Peel and cut tomatoes in 1/4" slices. Place tomatoes in a colander, and
sprinkle with 1 t. salt. Set aside to drain. Preheat oven to 350.In a medium
bowl, combine cheeses and mayonnaise. Place drained tomatoes in baked pie
shell. Sprinkle evenly with green onions and basil. Spread mayonnaise
mixture over the top. Bake 30 to 40 minutes or until cheeses are lightly
browned. Garnish with fresh basil if desired.Makes 1 pie
