Brooks & Dunn Enter Hollywood Walk of Fame

Brooks & Dunn are among the celebrities who will be honored with Hollywood Walk 
of Fame stars in 2008. Other musicians being inducted include Ricky Martin,
Christina Aguilera, Red Hot Chili Peppers and George Harrison. TV and film 
inductees include Angela Bassett, Cate Blanchett, Tim Robbins, Howie Mandel,
Susan St. James, Bill Geist, Kate Linder, Sherwood Schwartz, Vince McMahon and 
Brian Keith, Spider Man creator Stan Lee, the Munchkins (from The Wizard
of Oz) and the Westmores of Hollywood, a longtime show-business makeup family.

Willie Pays Tribute to Fats Domino

Willie Nelson has recorded "I Hear You Knockin'" for the album, Goin' Home: A 
Tribute to Fats Domino, due for a Sept. 25 release on Vanguard Records. The
double-disc set will also feature Elton John ("Blueberry Hill"), Paul McCartney 
("I Want to Walk You Home") and Tom Petty ("I'm Walkin'"), as well as Robert
Plant, B.B. King, Neil Young, Lucinda Williams, Norah Jones, Bonnie Raitt and 
many more. The project will help raise funds for musical instruments that
will be donated to public schools in New Orleans, Domino's hometown.

CMT Hires 60 Minutes Producer

Emmy Award-winning producer John Hamlin has joined CMT as senior vice president 
of production and development. Based in Nashville and reporting to Bob
Kusbit, CMT's head of development, Hamlin will oversee all Nashville television 
production and development, including series, events and music production.
Hamlin brings more than 25 years of television experience to the position, 
including 15 years as a producer for 60 Minutes, where he worked with country
artists such as the Dixie Chicks, Faith Hill, Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, 
Gretchen Wilson and Willie Nelson, as well as numerous pop artists such as U2,
Madonna, Paul McCartney, the Rolling Stones and Sting.
