Crunchy Brownie Bars
Crunchy layer: mix and press into bottom of ungreased 9 x 13 pan.
3/4 c. flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/3 tsp salt
1-1/2 c. quick oats
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. melted margerin
Bake 10 minutes at dg350.
Meanwhile prepare brownie layer:
Prepare family size brownie mix according to label directions or make
your own. Place over crust and bake according to brownie directions
for chewy brownies.
Frosting:
Melt 1-1/2 oz. unsweetened chocolate with 3 tablespoons margerin.
Remove from heat, stir in 2-1/4 cup confectioners sugar, 2 tsp vanilla
and 2 tablespoons hot water putting one in at a time.
Let stand until cool and cut into bars.
