Cabbage Burgers

This is a great recipe to take anywhere and it freezes well too. I
received this recipe from a friend when I was 16 and I love it now just
as much as then. Also great with pizza stuffing too.
Cabbage Burgers
Dough:
2 Cups warm water
1 Pkg Yeast
1/3 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Egg
2 tsp Salt
Mix together with beater, add flour until beater can't handle it. Put
dough on floured board and keep adding flour until dough is not sticky.
Kneed 5 min; let rise about 2 hrs.
Filling:
2 lbs hamburger
1 med. Head Cabbage
1 Lg Onion
Fry burger, add cabbage and onion. Keep warm.
Roll dough to about 1/8 - 1/4 inch thin. Cut into squares and put
filling in middle. Bring up all edges and seal. Tucking end under
bottom of roll. Pace on cookie sheet and bake @ 350* about 15 min. Or
until buns are nice and brown. Eat warm or cold. Also can be reheated
in oven or microwave.
You can make these as big or small as you would like. on average I make
them about 5 inch square and 1/2 cup filling maybe a bit more.
