Milk Chocolate Pecan Bars

1 c. flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 c. butter, softened

Topping:
1 (12-oz.) bag milk chocolate chips
2 eggs
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp salt
1 c. chopped pecans, divided

        In a large bowl combine flour, brown sugar, baking soda and salt; mix
well. Cut in butter with 2 knives used scissor fashion until mixture
resembles fine crumbs. Press evenly into greased 13 x 9 inch baking
pan. Bake at dg350 for 10 minutes.

        Prepare Topping: Melt chocolate morsels over hot not boiling water
and remove from heat. In small bowl combine eggs, brown sugar, vanilla
and salt and beat 2 minutes at high speed with electric mixer. Add
melted chocolate and mix well. Stir in 1/2 cup pecans. Pour topping
over cookie base and sprinkle with 1/2 cup pecans. Bake at dg350 20
minutes.
