Orange-Raisin Squares
2 c. flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 c. butter or margarine
1-1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 tbsp orange juice
1 c. raisins
1 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp grated orange peel
Powdered sugar
Preheat oven to dg325. Lightly grease 2 Reynolds Ready Pan Square
Cake Pans. Stir together flour, soda, salt and spices; set aside.
Cream butter and brown sugar. Add eggs and orange juice beating until
fluffy. Gradually add dry ingredients, mixing well. Fold in raisins,
nuts and orange peel. Spread evenly into two prepared pans. Bake 45-50
minutes or until tests clean and squares begin to pull away from sides
of pan. Cool on rack. Cut each pan into 25 squares. Sprinkle with
powdered sugar.
