Sailor's Beef
Ingredients
1 1/4 lb. Round or Rump Roast, sliced thin
1 T. Butter
3 Large Onions, Sliced
8 Potatoes, sliced thin
1 Can Dark Beer or Beef Broth
Directions
In a large pot, melt the butter. Saute the onions until tender, add the
beef and brown on both sides. Pour the beer or broth over all and add
the potatoes. Cook uncovered for 45-60 minutes or until the beef and
potatoes are tender. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
