I got this from another list. Hope you enjoy it Chocolate-Dippy Doughnut Sauce
From Her book It Ain't all about the Cookin' pg 25 Chocolate-Dippy Doughnut Sauce The beginning of this recipe is a story about her Mom making doughnuts out of a can of biscuits. She made a center hole in each biscuit with her finger and fried them in hot oil for about 2 minutes on each side. 1 four oz bar Baker's German Sweet Chocolate 1/2 oz (1/2 square) unsweetened chocolate 1 stick unsalted butter 3c. confectioners sugar 1 1/2 c. evaporated milk 1 1/4 tsp vanilla extract Melt the chocolate and the butter in a saucepan over very low heat. Stir in the sugar alternating with the evaporated milk, blendingwell. Raise the heat to medium and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.Lower the heat and cook, stirring, until the mixture becomes thick and creamy, about 8 minutes. Stir in the vanilla and remove the pan from the heat. Stick a fork through the doughnut holes and dip the doughnuts immediatly into the chocolate mixture before the chocolate starts to cool. Place the doughnuts on a plate and serve when the chocolate on the doughnut sets, about 5 minutes.
