Betty Carter's Refrigerator Pickles 
Keys:  Canning Pickles Relishes Vegetables     
Yield: 1 
Ingredients: 
         12     lb  very small cucumbers 
          1      x  onion sliced 
          4    cup  sugar 
          4    cup  vinegar 
        1/2    cup  salt 
      1 1/3    tbl  celery seed 
      1 1/3    tbl  mustard seed 
      1 1/3    tsp  turmeric 
Method:
Slice cucumbers and onion and place in gallon jars. Mix remaining
ingredients well. Pour mixture over cucumbers. Screw lids on tightly.
Place in refrigerator. Let stand 5 days before tasting. Will keep for a
year.
