CELEBRATION COOKIES
1 package Betty CrockerE SuperMoistE white or yellow cake mix 1/3 cup shortening 1/3 cup butter or margarine, softened 1/2 teaspoon vanilla 1 egg 1 tub Betty CrockerE Rich & Creamy ready-to-spread frosting Heat oven to 375�F. Mix about half of the cake mix (dry) and remaining ingredients except frosting in large bowl, using spoon, until thoroughly mixed. Stir in remaining cake mix. Divide dough in half. Roll each half 1/4 inch thick on lightly floured cloth-covered board with cloth-covered rolling pin. Cut dough with 2 1/2-inch bell-or heart-shaped cookie cutter. Place about 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet.Bake 6 to 8 mins or just until set (centers will be soft). Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.
