FRESH ORANGE LOAF CAKE Sift together into bowl:
2 c. sifted cake flour 1 1/4 c. sugar 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt Add: 1/2 c. shortening 1/2 c. liquid (grated rind and juice from 1 orange plus water) Beat vigorously 2 minutes. Add 2 large eggs. Beat 2 more minutes. Pour batter in greased 8 x 4-inch loaf pan. Bake in moderate oven for 60-65 minutes.
