TOFFEE COOKIE SQUARES 1/2 c. butter 1/2 c. shortening 1 c. brown sugar 1 egg yolk 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. salt 2 c. flour 1 (6 oz.) chocolate pieces 1/2 c. nuts
Stir first 4 ingredients together then add next 3. Bake at 325 degrees for 15-20 minutes in 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 inch pan. Melt chocolate chips. Put on top and add nuts.
