Thanks so much for these terrific tips, Steve! I like especially the one about
browning the gravy in the cup in the oven; it is hard to do this in a skillet
when blind, without a big mess, not saying, easy to burn that way! Mom uses a
lot of avacadoes, so the first one, I must remember to tell her about; thanks
so much for these!

Steve, you can tell it is early for me, and I am quite sleepy! I meant,
browning the flour in the oven for gravy! and not! browning the gravy in the
oven! what a goofball I am! I could have taken the time to edit it, but
didn't! later!

   * If you are only using half an avocado, leave the pit in the unused
half and refrigerate, covered with plastic wrap. This will retard
     discoloration.

   * When breading chicken, coat the pieces with mayonnaise instead of
egg. The mayonnaise clings to the chicken and doesn't drip like the
egg does. Plus, it adds nice flavor.

   * Make ice cubes festive for a party by freezing sprigs of mint,
maraschino cherries, lemon or orange peel in them.

   * Placing flour in a custard cup in the oven next to a roast will
assure nice brown flour for gravy when the meat is done.
