MAKE-IN-THE-SNOW MAPLE FRANGO You can make this delicious dessert in your refrigerator or your Donvier ice cream maker; but it is best of all frozen in a deep snow-bank and has even been known to be made on Boy Scout overnights. 1 large c. maple syrup 3 eggs, separated 1/2 pt. whipping cream 1 c. chopped walnuts 2 Tbsp. Mapleine Beat egg yolks and add to maple syrup. Heat until it boils and thickens. Cool. Beat cream until thick. Mix into syrup mixture and fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Add walnuts and Mapleine. Put outside to freeze in a snowbank in zero degree weather, in a large container with a lid. Stir occasionally, or freeze according to directions for your refrigerator or ice cream maker.
