Shooter Jennings, Drea de Matteo Welcome Daughter

Shooter Jennings and longtime girlfriend Drea de Matteo welcomed a baby girl on 
Wednesday night (Nov. 28) in New York. They named her Alabama Gypsy Rose.
She weighed 8 pounds, 3 ounces. Jennings is the son of Waylon Jennings and 
Jessi Colter. De Matteo is an actress whose roles include The Sopranos and the
TV series, Joey. This is their first child. 

Ticket Info Announced for Garth Brooks' L.A. Show

Tickets go on sale Saturday (Dec. 1) for Garth Brooks' concert to raise money 
for fire victims and firefighters in California. The Jan. 26 performance
at Staples Center in Los Angeles is his first appearance in the city since 
2001. It is sponsored by American Express and the Los Angeles Times in 
partnership
with the nonprofit McCormick Tribune Foundation. Brooks was approached by 
elected officials and civic leaders in California to hold the event. Tickets,
priced at $38.60, will be available by phone and online via Ticketmaster. 
Brooks, who has had a long-running commitment to maintain low ticket prices for
his concerts, said, "Please let everyone know I hate to ask so much for a 
ticket, but 100 percent of the money is going to victims of the recent fires
and to the firefighters facing future fires."

Dancing With the Stars Winner Signs Nashville Deal

Julianne Hough, a professional dancer and two-time winner of Dancing With the 
Stars, has signed to Universal Music Group Nashville, a label spokesman has
confirmed. Hough (pronounced "Huff"), 19, won this year's series with race car 
driver Helio Castroneves, as well as last year's series with Olympic skater
Apolo Anton Ohno. She will be recording in Nashville in mid-December with her 
first single on Mercury Nashville scheduled next year. Her brother, Derek
Hough, was Jennie Garth's dancing partner on the series this year.

Faith Hill Co-Hosting Grammy Special

Faith Hill will co-host My Night at the Grammys on Friday (Nov. 30) on CBS. She 
will be joined by Melissa Etheridge and Alicia Keys. The two-hour special,
which celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Grammy Awards, will also feature 
Alan Jackson sharing his memories of the show. Other artists appearing include
Christina Aguilera, Billie Joe Armstrong, Beyoncé, Mary J. Blige, Bono, Elvis 
Costello, Celine Dion, Elton John, Ricky Martin and Usher.
