Some Helpful Hints---Bugs, Pancakes, Shoes, Etc.
WHEN USING A DOUBLE BOILER Fill the bottom pot with water and a few marbles. Should the water evaporate too much, the sound of the marbles with remind you to add more water. BUGS BE GONE Place a bay leaf in each of your kitchen canisters, flour, cornmeal, pasta, etc. to keep bugs away. Dont worry the bay leaf wont effect the flavor of the food. SAVE LEFTOVER PANCAKES Great treat for afternoon tea or snack. Spread peanut butter, jelly or other spread on a pancake and roll it up and eat. KEEP GERMS AT BAY Next time you or someone in your family has a cold. Fill a spray bottle with equal parts of water and rubbing alcohol and spray the disinfectant on door knobs, faucets, etc. NEW SHOES TOO TIGHT Fill a spray bottle with rubbing alcohol and then spritz the inside of the shoes. Wear them immediately.
