SWEETHEART COOKIES
1 Cup Crisco 2 Cups Brown Sugar 3 Eggs 4 ¼ Cups Flour 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon ½ Teaspoon Soda 1 Teaspoon Salt Cream Crisco and brown sugar together until creamy and add eggs one at a time, beating slightly after each addition. Sift flour, cinnamon, soda and salt together. Add dry ingredients a little at a time, mixing after each addition. Refrigerate to chill. Cook: 2 Packages Cut Dates 1 Cup Sugar 1 Stick Oleo 1 Cup Pecans or Walnuts Cook this mixture until it becomes a paste. Be careful not to overcook. Take dough out of refrigerator and roll out to ¼ inch thickness. Roll out dough in three increments. Spread date mixture on the dough. Roll up like you would a jelly roll and chill. Makes three small rolls of cookie dough. Slice and bake at 350 degrees.
