Hi, Marilyn, still am praying for Frank! I know he has really been through a
lot, and with so many surgeries, there were days when they had him sedated, and
he could not eat well at all; let's see, I gave my husband anything he loved
and could keep down, as the chemo made him so so nauseated most of the time. He
loved milk shakes with say, frozen peaches, blueberries and strawberries in it,
and diced up bananas. He never wanted Ensure or any of those nutritious liquid
meal supplements, balked at those, but there were times, out of sheer
desperation where I put it in to those shakes, and he did not know it. Just
give him some of his favorite foods, one at a time, starting with his most
fave, so to speak; good luck.

Hugs,

Sandy
Praying that things will improve day by day.

  Subject: [RecipesAndMore] Hello My Friends,

Frank was sent to Marietta Memorial Rehabilitation Hospital today. He will
be there for probably 90 days.

I can call his room and I did that twice today but he thought he was on the
computer the first time and the second time, he just said "where are you?" and
then he didn't say anymore. I even yelled in the phone and he didn't hear me.

I called the nurse back and she said he is okay, but they just had given him
a bath and he was very sleepy.

No matter what we or they give him to eat, he won't eat it. People have told
me all kinds of things and so far, nothing has worked. I guess they'll keep
trying the Ensure shakes with ice cream.

I'll go visit him tomorrow. I didn't go today because we had so much snow
here in the Plains.

His neurologist thinks that he will improve in this rehab program. I'm
trying not to get too discouraged. He drank half a milkshake I took to him
the other day, but he won't eat anything from the hospital.

  Please keep praying for him.

He has lost 26 pounds in three weeks.

  Marilyn
