Sunday Stroganoff

 

Ingredients:

1 pound ground lean ground chuck or round

1/2 cup chopped sweet onion

1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon paprika

1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup

1 cup sour cream

8 ounces wide noodles

 

In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the meat and

onions until the meat is browned and the onion is tender.

Stir in the flour, salt and paprika until the meat is coated.

Add the mushroom soup, mix well and cook, uncovered,

for 20 minutes. Reduce heat and add the sour cream,

stirring well and allowing to heat through at a low simmer.

While doing this, cook the egg noodles according to the

package directions. Drain and place on a platter-topping

with the stroganoff. Notes: You can add extra fresh sliced

mushrooms to dress this up-sauté them when you sauté

the onions and continue with recipe.
