Cottage Pie Ingredients 1 Tbs. oil 1 onion, diced 1 carrot, chopped 1 clove garlic 1 lb. ground beef 3 Tbs. tomato paste 1 Tbs. horseradish 1 Tbs. each - parsley, thyme, marjoram 1 cup beef stock 1 Tbs. cornstarch Place oil in skillet. Add onion, carrots, and garlic and simmer til soft. Add ground beef and stir until browned. Mix tomato paste, horseradish, spices and add to beef stock in medium saucepan. Add cornstarch and simmer til near boiling. Pour beef mixture into casserole. Pour liquid mixture over beef. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes. Top with whipped potatoes and return to oven for 10 to 15 minutes, or until potatoes are browned.
