I don't think I'll try it.  I just wonder what it is supposed to do to the 
taste of the coffee.

      Yes, actually, it's a habit from the very north of Sweden. I don't know 
if it's common in any other parts of the world, but since I'm Swedish myself, 
I'm sure of it. I wouldn't want it, though. But I'm not a great coffee lover.
