Cherry Nut Bread
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup nuts, chopped
2 eggs
1/2 cup water
1/2 teaspoon almond flavoring
1 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup maraschino cherries, cut up
1 1/2 cups maraschino cherry juice
1/4 cup vegetable oil

Sift dry ingredients together into medium bowl. Add nuts and cherries; mix 
well. Beat eggs, juice, water, vegetable oil and almond flavoring in small 
bowl. Add liquid ingredients to dry ingredients and stir only until dry 
ingredients are dampened. Pour into lined loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees F 
for 40 to 45 minutes.

Remove from pan and carefully peel off paper. Cool before slicing.
