Manners Made Easy Tip of the Week.txt
        Online Considerations

New technology demands new etiquette rules to learn
because in 1922, when Emily Post wrote her first etiquette book, she never
imagined computers and the Internet in cyberspace. Yet it remains a rule of
etiquette to respect others' time and sensibilities-even online. Consider
the impact a message might have before hitting the "send" button.

                  Suggestion

Family members can teach younger ones about using rules of
courtesy when going on the Internet, being kind with words and clear in
their writing. Check your messages for the following: Is the message clear?
Is the wording kind? Are correct grammar and spelling used? Have I written a
positive, informative message? What about sarcasm and jokes? Both can be
misunderstood in cyberspace.
