Group Title: FDA Recall of Peanut Butter Products Date: Monday January 19, 2009 Time: 9:00 am - 10:00 am Notes: FDA is asking consumers to stop using peanut butter products. There has been another salmonella contamination outbreak that has caused at least six deaths and sickened more than 470 people across the nation. New cases are still being reported and the investigation is ongoing. Peanut Corp. of America, located in Blakely, Georgia, has been identified as the producer of the contaminated peanut butter paste that is used in cookies, cakes, and crackers such as Keebler, Famous Amos, and Austin brands. Consumers are advised to throw away any of these type of products.
