Crazy Crust Apple Pie 1 c. Pillsburys Best All Purpose Flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon sugar 1 egg 2/3 cup shortening 3/4 cup water 1 can apple pie filling (1lb 5 oz can) 1 teaspoon lemon juice 1/2 teaspoon apple spice or cinnamon. In a small mixer bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, egg, shortening and water. Blend well? beat 2 minutes at medium speed. Pour batter into a 9 or 10 inch pie pan. Combine pie filling, lemon juice and spice; pour into center of batter. Do not stir. Bake at 425 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes. Tip: If you use a very shallow pan, remove 2 tablespoons filling.
