Dumplings in Curry with Rice Ingredients: Dumplings: 1 lb. minced pork meat 1/2 cups bulgur or couscous, boiled and cooled 1 chopped onion 1 egg 1 egg white 2 tbsp. skim medium milk 1 - 2 tbsp. flour to taste salt and pepper Curry Sauce: 1 finely chopped onion curry (as much as you like) 2 cups chicken broth 4/5 cup skim medium milk <about 6 oz> 2 tbsp. corn?starch to taste salt, pepper to taste 1 pinch cane sugar Directions: Mix all ingredients for dumplings and let forcemeat rest in a cool place 30 minutes. Bring 1 qt. water to boil and add a little salt. Lower heat, and add dumplings (sized like pingpong balls). Let dumplings simmer on very low heat until they reach surface of water, about 10 minutes. Heat curry and onion in a saucepan and add chicken broth. Let it simmer 10 minutes. Dissolve cornstarch in skim medium milk and add mixture to curry sauce. Taste with salt, pepper and a pinch of cane sugar. Serve dumplings in curry sauce, with boiled rice.
