Annie's Favorite

4 skinless chicken breast halves
Salt and pepper  to taste
1 cup undrained dark sweet cherries in heavy syrup
1/4 t. ground  ginger
2 t. cornstarch

Preheat broiler. Place chicken on rack of a  broiler pan. Sprinkle with 
salt and pepper and place in broiler, about 5 inches  from heat. Broil for 6 to 
8 minutes. In small pan, combine cherries, ginger, and  cornstarch. Boil 
for 1 minute. Remove from heat. arrange chicken on a serving  platter and 
spoon cherry sauce over each pieces. About 4.3 grams fat per  serving. Serves 4
