Black Pepper Cream Gravy
2 tablespoons butter or bacon fat
2 tablespoons flour
2 cups milk
2 tablespoons heavy or whipping cream
1 teaspoon salt
3-4 teaspoon black pepper
Melt the butter or bacon fat in a sauce pan over medium heat.  Sprinkle the
flour in the sauce pan and stir to combine.  Cook, stirring, until the flour
is lightly browned.  Remove the sauce pan from the heat.
While stirring constantly, pour the milk into the sauce pan in a steady
stream.  Return the sauce pan to the heat. And cook, stirring, until the
gravy thickens.  Add the cream, salt, and pepper and stir to combine.  Keep
warm until needed.  Enjoy.
