FRENCH ONION SOUP
   4-cups thinly sliced onion
   1/4-cup butter or margarine
   3 herb-ox beef bouillon cubes
   2-3/4-cups water
   4 slices bread 1-inch thick toasted
   2-cups shredded mozzarella cheese
   1-jar real bacon pieces, 2-ounce divided
   Salt to taste
   Freshly ground black pepper to taste
   In
 saucepan, sauté onion in butter until tender. Dissolve bouillon in water. Stir 
water,
1/2-cup bacon pieces, salt, and pepper into onions. Bring to a boil; reduce 
heat.
Simmer uncovered 20 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Ladle into 4 ovenproof
soup bowls. Top with the bread slices and sprinkle cheese and remaining bacon 
pieces.
Broil 2 to 3 minutes or until cheese melts.  Enjoy.
