Hi Ian,

I'm sure my son can sympathise. He has his BAHons in Religious Studies from Sydney Uni
(they have
now changed to the 'School for Studies in Religion') and is doing his Master's degree
at the
moment.
He lectures on Celtic religion up to the time of the coming of Christianity and just
beyond as
well as Norse religion up to the period of about 800AD - pre-Christian.
His experiences were the same whenever he mentioned his faculty everyone assumed he
studied
Christianity. I believe there must have been many that became annoyed enough so that
the name of
the faculty was changed.
