>From the Kookaburra column in the SMH:

For more than a decade Greens senator Bob Brown and Robert Bain, the former
executive director of the National Association of Forest Industries, the
woodchippers' lobby group, have pursued contradictory interests. One was devoted
to trying to preserve forests untouched, the other to trying to chop 'em down.
But now, one combatant has moved on. The Australian Medical Association this
week announced that Bain had been appointed as its secretary-general. (Heaven
knows why, he's a PhD, not a medical doctor, and his back ground is in primary
industry.) Brown greeted the news with a press release, suggesting among other
nasty things, that Bain would bring a "chainsaw mentality to medical politics".
That night Brown's press secretary was at dinner when his mobile went off. It
was a woman, who launched into a tirade of abuse, but refused to identify
herself. But he had caller ID on his phone and, you guessed it, the call came
from Bain's mobile.
