I believe it is imperative that we write to Senator John Woodley and apprise him of the devastating effect the GST will have on Aboriginal people in general but especially in remote communities. I do not understand how Woodley can intend to vote for the GST when he has responsibility as the Democrat spokesperson for Aboriginal affairs. Maybe Senator Woodley would like to explain how he rationalises this apparent inconsistency. Urge him to cross the floor and vote against the GST.
