Hello Samual,

usually nobody gives assignments to another person.

We are all volunteers and give what we can do.

for me it was a good start to translate the user interface into my
native language.

You wrote you are experienced in C++. this is the main programming
language for apache OpenOffice. It is also possible to start fixing a
bug which annoys you.

You can look also into the bug tracker to adapt the patches to our code.

Then you can do a pull request at github. This is the place where you
can find the code.
