Currently, the videos are being "streamed" from php, so no Red5 for now..
I adapted the flash player to use progressive downloads instead of the 
streaming server, that's why it runs smoothly now.
I guess I could write some extensive PHP-server and integrate it in my 
webapplication, but I liked the Red5 philosophy to join forces and write a 
professional server, using rtmp.

Perhaps the nature of my video's (dropped frames are much worse in tutorials) 
is not suitable for a streaming server, I don't know.
I'll do some reading on the topic as soon as I get some breathing room.
