Hah! we've already got the beginnings of our FAQ. Sascha, welcome to the list. Thanks for asking these questions. It's great to hear from new people, and as Luke and I just pointed out these questions are perfect for the FAQ that we have begun compiling. I'm also familiar with Jabber/XMPP as my last job used it for an online medical messaging system. I can see lots of ways that it can fit into Red5.
