Hi,

This is probably a very basic question but I am sorry that I could not
find the information despite many attempts and hence the email to the
mailing list.

Please point me in the right direction (or documentation) if this has
already been discussed on the mailing list or any other publicly
available document.

Now to the problem at hand,

1. I have some flv files (these are static files which are already available).
2. I need to stream these using RTMP from Red 5.

To achieve the above, what do I need to do ?

1. To do the same in FMS2, all you need to do is to create a folder
with the same name as the application name, create a folder called
"_definst_" inside the folder and a folder called "streams" inside it.
2. Copy the FLV files inside this streams folder and you have an rtmp
url which you can use to stream the flv file which is of the following
form: rtmp://<hostname>/<applicationname>/filename.flv
3. The above url works if I access it from desktop flash video players
like FLVPlayer.

I want to do the same in Red 5. How can I achieve the same ? One
additional question, Does red5 work with the FLVPlayback component ?

Thank you very much for your time and help with this.

Regards,
-- Nachi
