if you only want to stream files, it should be enough to create two folders: <red5/webapps>/myapp and <red5/webapps>/myapp/streams without any configuration files. Restart Red5, put the FLV/MP3 files in the newly created streams folder and you should be able to connect to "rtmp://server/myapp".
