Joachim,

This is very very nice!!

It is extremely refreshing to see RED5 being used in such a dynamic way.

Congratulation to you and your team.

Regards,

Lenny

Hi!

Some people asked about examples of "real-world" projects running on
Red5, so I thought it would be cool to show what we at struktur AG are
working on and what is possible with Red5 today.

We develop the web meeting software spreed.com, that is using Red5 for
all real-time communication since several months now.

Features include
- live audio and video communication
- a basic chat
- presentations of any office documents, PowerPoint slides or images
- an interactive whiteboard
- cross-platform screensharing and remote control, currently available
on Windows, Linux (public beta) and Mac OSX (private alpha)

Our roadmap contains several nice features that will be available soon:
- collaborative mind maps
- an extended, moderated chat
- presentations of video files
- export of presentations with whiteboard informations to PDF
- global phone services that allow participants to join using their phone
- recording of meetings for later replay
- interconnects between different servers to allow more people join a
single conference and to support running conferences across continents

...we even plan to open-source the server one day ;)

You can use spreed.com for free with up to three participants, just
create a free account on the website. If you're located in Australia or
Asia, you might want to use the server at spreed.com.au for better
latency.

As I've written above, the screensharing on Linux currently is beta, so
if you would like to test that, feel free to contact me for details.

I hope you don't feel offended by the slight ad here ;) but see this mail
as little example for what Red5 is capable of, even before version 1.0

Joachim
