Hey,

I know much more about FMS than red5. For 1 to 1 streams we got 8192 Bps (65Kbit) for each user. So, for 100Mbps bandwidth you can have 100Mbps/65Kbit/2(users) = 760 - 1 to 1 applications in the same time.

Hey all,
I'm currently in the process of creating a red5-based application, and am getting to the point where cost estimates are important. Rather than trying to figure out bandwidth usage for typical Red5 related activities, I wanted to ask here first.

Has anyone done and research into how much bandwidth something like live videoconferencing would use? How many 1-to-1 streams before the connection saturates? Has anyone done any numbers at all?

Thanks in advance,
Aaron
